Going Cruelty-free

I promise that at some point I will go back to writing proper posts.

For now, I’m seeking help/advice/guidance on something.

I’m looking to make the move to using only cruelty-free products because of reasons that I hope would be obvious.

Last night, I compared items I currently own against both the Leaping Bunny and PETA approved lists. I’ll be honest, it’s shocking how many of the big name brands are still involved in animal testing, either here or abroad.

Thanks to the lovely Lily (TinyGreyCat), I know that I can pop to Superdrug to top up my general toiletries stash – something I’ve already done today.

What I’d like from you, dear readers, is your recommendations for the BEST UK drugstore cruelty free brands.

Which toothpaste is the best?
Is there a deodorant that stops you being stinky for longer?

Let me know in the comments, email me or tweet me (@cthulhuwakes)

Laters xx

Yay! I’ve been cruelty free for over a year now and it can be very difficult to find everything up to the same standard (or in some cases affordability) as my old stuff, but it’s all worth it. I do most (if not all) my bathing product shopping in Superdrug or online now. There are a few subscription boxes out there (Birch Box, Vegan Box) if you wanted to sample other products and see which ones work for you. The most difficult thing I have found is (and annoyingly still is) face wash – though again Superdrug has a very large own brand selection of everything from wash to BB cream – seem to get on with the tea tree stuff the best so far.
